It is with great pleasure and honor that I welcome you to the 16th days of Bosnian Herzigovinian American Academy of Arts and Science to be held in Sarajevo on 19-22nd June 2025.

Turkish Ophthalmological Association has contribution to two scientific sessions during this event and our colleagues from Türkiye will share their knowledge and experience about corneal and ocular surface diseases.

On behalf of Turkish Ophthalmological Association we would like to invite our colleagues from neighboring countries to join us for establishment of scientific connections in Balkan area where we all share a common history and cultural heritage. We are honored and privileged to announce that the Turkish Ophthalmological Association (TOA) will attend the BHAAAS Fifth International Ophthalmology Symposium in Sarajevo on June 21st as part of the Days of BHAAAS.

As this year’s topic is Cornea, Ocular Surface, and Refractive Surgery, TOA Corneal, and Ocular Surface, the TOA will participate in two-panel sessions, YO sessions, and a hands-on topography/tomography workshop for YOs and residents.

The BHAAAS's primary goal is to promote education and knowledge in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region through its members' continuous commitment and activities. The Academy (BHAAAS) grows and adds new members annually, internationally, and from Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The highlight event is the annual Days of BHAAAS, which brings and unites thousands of experts, scholars, and students from the medical, humanities, and technical fields.

Thus, BHAAAS's mission aligns perfectly with TOA's mission of helping Bosnia and Herzegovina and neighboring countries expand their academic, research, and clinical expertise and capacities.

This year, we proudly stand together in this united vision, hoping to unite ophthalmologists and visual scientists from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Balkan, Turkey, and internationally in Sarajevo and deliver state-of-the-art expertise in ophthalmology.
