Dear Colleagues,

We are delighted to invite you to the 58th National Congress of the Turkish Ophthalmological Association, held in Antalya, Turkey, from November 21st to 24th, 2024. The TOA is the only society in our country representing the ophthalmologists. After celebrating the 100th anniversary of our Republic last year, the TOA is now celebrating its 96th year of foundation, and we are proud to organize our 58th Congress with a sense of responsibility for this great heritage.

As the board and congress organizing committee, we have made every effort to provide a range of scientific events to update Turkish ophthalmology and ophthalmologists and standardize ophthalmic education. We are also committed to increasing the number of sessions with simultaneous interpretation to encourage international participation. Our scientific program is dedicated to knowledge and experience. It is carefully organized to expand expertise and skills in general ophthalmology and subspecialty fields through numerous sessions so that you can incorporate new knowledge into your daily practice. Moreover, the exhibition halls will allow our colleagues to interact with industry leaders to gain knowledge about the latest technological advancements in eye care, diagnostics, and treatment.

We look forward to seeing our colleagues come together to meet, interact, and collaborate in our National Congress and are delighted to be able to share an exciting agenda.

We hope you will find the 58th National Congress an enriching and inspiring experience. Our colleagues will have the opportunity to listen to experienced speakers from Turkey and other countries who will speak about developments in ophthalmology and share their experiences. There will be advanced education programs of the subspecialty units (BILEP), panels, interactive panels, courses, satellite symposia, “Consult the Expert,” “SOE Conference, Angiography Club, and free paper and poster sessions. This intensive Congress scientific program has been prepared with the unending sacrificing work of the subspecialty units and the organizing committee.

We aim to provide you with an engaging and comprehensive scientific program that will keep you up-to-date with the latest advancements in ophthalmology. Interactive sessions and panel discussions led by experts will offer opportunities to integrate new knowledge into your practice. The TOA Young Ophthalmologists will share their knowledge and experience with peers from other countries. We also did not forget to emphasize a social program of the Congress, where there will be various and exquisite social activities for our colleagues to enjoy and relax with their friends in this busy scientific meeting schedule.

I am honored to extend an invitation on behalf of the Turkish Ophthalmological Association Executive Board and National Congress Organization Committee. You are cordially invited to join us in shaping the future of eye care and participate in our scientific festival. This is an excellent opportunity to engage with and learn from experts in the field.
