TOA 4th International ROP Course


HANDS-ON TRAINING-SKILL TRANSFER DRY-LABS

Dear Colleagues,

The 4rd International Retinopathy of pmaturity Course, organized by the Turkish Ophthalmology Association Retinopathy of pmaturity Commission, will be held at İstanbul TOA Training Center on September 24-26, 2026. This course is the first of its kind which is concentrated only in ROP in all aspects; both theoretically and practically.

In the theoretical part of this course, all important topics of Retinopathy of pmaturity (ROP) will be psented comphensively in the first two days. Some of the topics to be covered in this comphensive course, the details of which can be seen in the scientific program, are: International Classification of ROP (ICROP) and innovations in classification, ROP examination techniques, screening, treatment and follow-up, role of angiography and optic coherence tomography in ROP, characteristics of ROP in micro, nano and larger infants, tips for Laser treatment, management of aggressive ROP cases, tips for Anti-VEGF application, surgical treatment in ROP cases, long-term follow-up, management of sequela and complications, and medicolegal issues.

Skills Transfer Courses (STC) part, which is unique all over the world, will take place on the 3rd day of the course through the whole day. The STC consist of 4 sections including neonatal resuscitation, indirect ophthalmoscopic examination with Eyesi ROP Simulator, indirect laser and intravitreal injections to phantom eyes, retinoscopy, and clinical case discussions over case examples with the experts in small groups. In addition, imaging, examination, and treatment devices will be introduced by the relevant companies. Please see the video of one of our pvious ROP courses to have an idea about it.

Only a limited number of 3(the first 50) applicants will have the chance to attend this course. We will be delighted and honored with your participation in the ROP course where retinopathy of pmaturity will be addressed with intensive knowledge and experience sharing for clinical practice.
