Dear Colleagues,

It is our great pleasure to invite you to attend the First Balkan Ophthalmology Meeting of the Turkish Ophthalmological Association and Bosna Herzegovina Ophthalmological Association, in Sarajevo from 21st-23rd April 2017. We are specifically inviting our colleagues from neighboring countries to join us for establishment of scientific connections in Balkan region where we all share a common history and cultural heritage. The Scientific Committee has developed a programme with topics covering general fields of interest in ophthalmology. We will have a joint programme of invited speakers from Turkey and Bosna Herzegovina and aim to learn from each other by discussing topics where our approaches may vary. There will be excellent social opportunities as well You will have the chance of visiting Mostar and other historical sites. We also hope the meeting will lead to new friendships and collaborations in Balkan region.

Sarajevo is a pleasant city with many sites of interest and places to visit. The congress will be held in Hotel Europa Congress Centre, on the city center. We hope that you will enjoy the meeting and your interaction with your colleagues from neighboring countries will lead to a creative exchange of ideas, strong relations and will be personally rewarding.
