We are proudly holding our national conference after successfully completing the first 50 editions of Turkish Ophthalmology Conferences. Driven by the successes we’ve had in the past, we are sailing to new horizons to make history.

First edition of the Turkish Ophthalmology Conferences was held in Istanbul in 1955. This year, we are carrying out our 51st Conference with valuable contributions from our Istanbul branch. The conference will be held in Antalya Titanik Belek Conference Center.

Responsibility of Conference’s scientific program relies on our departments. We are currently finalizing the details of scientific sessions. Launched last year, courses such as ‘subspecialty’ which became instant hit among our attendees will be on the first day’s program along with Advancing Unit Education Programs (BİLEP). We heard your feedback and this year’s program will enable attendees to join morning and afternoon sessions with different topics, taking part in two different BILEPs.

Invitations have been sent to our foreign speakers whom we believe to add more color to our event.

Companies operating in our sector are also doing their best to support the 51st Conference, setting off for satellite panels, exhibition area events and various sponsorships to make the conference as colorful as possible.

We ensure you that we are doing our best to prepare a satisfying social program for you. You’ll be frequently notified about the conference’s Calendar.

Dear colleagues,

It is my greatest pleasure to invite you to the 51st TOD National Congress, on behalf of the board of directors of TOD Istanbul Branch.

51st edition of the National Congress will be held with the contributions of Istanbul Branch, having the most members of all branches. We chose a new venue for this year’s congress: Antalya Titanik Belek Hotel.  

Last day of our congress is also 94th anniversary of our Republic, making our meeting much more eventful this year.

National Congresses, hosting our ever-growing family, are indeed the most significant TOD event of the year.

Every year, content of these congresses changes according to recent scientific and technical developments. BILEP courses, successfully launched last year, will be implemented on the first day of the congress this year. By reducing overlaps between scientific programme subjects and by finishing off the meetings on time, we will work harder to help our members make the most out of this event.

We would like to thank to the execution boards of all departments who have been kindly doing what it necessary to prepare the scientific programme and to all of our colleagues who have been working in these programmes and sharing their invaluable knowledge with us.

National congresses are exclusive events in which all members enjoy a rich scientific and social programme together. It is of great importance that we take home great memories.
