Afakide, sekonder göz içi lens (GİL) implantasyonu teknik açıdan birbirinden farklı yöntemler ile yapılmaktadır. Her tekniğin kendine özgü yarar ve zorlukları olup, verilecek olan karar eşlik eden oküler patoloji ve cerrahın tecrübesine göre olmaktadır. Bu kursta katılımcılara sekonder GİL implantasyonu için mevcut tekniklerin güvenli ve etkili kullanımları gösterilip, arka kapsülün kısmen veya tamamen yokluğunda GİL'in sklera veya irise fiksasyonu olgular üzerinden değişik teknikler ile anlatılacaktır. Katılımcılar kurs sonrası farklı yöntemlerin avantaj ve dezavantajlarını öğrenip, sekonder GİL implantasyonunda en sık karşılaşılan intraoperatif ve postoperatif komplikasyonları belirleyebilme ve yönetebilme bilgisine sahip olabilecektirler.

Secondary intraocular lens (IOL) implantation in aphakia is performed with technically different methods. Every technique has its own unique advantages and challenges, and the decision mainly depends on the ocular pathologies and the experience of the surgeon. In this course, the participants will be shown the safe and effective use of the available techniques for secondary IOL implantation. Fixation of IOL to the sclera or iris will be demonstrated on cases with different techniques, in eyes with partial or complete absence of posterior capsule. Participants will learn the advantages and disadvantages of different methods after the course and have the knowledge to identify and manage the most common intraoperative and postoperative complications in secondary IOL implantation.
